In the hotel
- Read a book in the lounge with a cup of coffee and a cake, in the warmer months sit outside and people watch and in the cooler months warm up in front of roaring log fires. A selection of traditional board games are available in the lounge.
- Sit in the window and do a bit of "Royal Spotting" - HighgrovE House and Gatcombe park are within a few miles of the hotel, you never know who you might see?
- Take Fred for a walk.
- Have a pamper party - We've teamed up with Cotswold Beauty who can provide pamper parties at the hotel. Booking is essential.
- Wii and traditional board games available.
- We have negotiated a very special rate of just £5 for entry to a nearby gym, just a five minute walk from the hotel. Ask for further details on arrival

- Malmesbury Abbey - The Abbey is at the centre of Malmesbury and can be seen for miles around. A Monastery was first established on the site around 676 but the present building dates from the 12th century, and was consecrated about 1180. One of the most notable features surviving from that period is the south porch with its magnificent Norman arch containing carvings depicting Bible stories. There is also a fine vaulted roof to the nave

- Shopping in regency Cheltenham followed by lunch or dinner at our popular pub, the Beehive in Montpellier. Cheltenham Spa is England's most complete Regency town and is characterized by intricate ironwork balconies and painted stucco facades that line the historic Promenade, squares and terraces. With its award-winning gardens, impressive range of stylish shops and restaurants, and its festivals of horse racing, music and literature it is a great place to visit at any time of year.
- Visit Gloucester Cathedral and have lunch or afternoon tea at Hatton Court with spectacular views of the Severn Vale. Worship has taken place in this wonderful building for 900 years and it continues as a place of prayer and Christian pilgrimage.
- Village of Winchcombe – Winchcombe is a small, unspoilt Cotswold town where you will still find a wealth of unique shops and places to eat and drink. It is an ideal base for walking in the Cotswolds being at the intersection of the Cotswold Way, the Gloucestershire Way, the Wardens Way, the Windrush Way, the Wychavon Way and the unofficial St Kenelm's Way.
